“I decided to try the foils because there was a couple in my club, the coach offered it to me to try it and I accepted. As a result of trying it, more than one rower has shown interest. What I feel when I have them is that the blade takes more water and my power through the water is stronger. Coming from the kayak that the paddles are scooped, I fully understand the function of the foils. Another function that I see is that the strokes are more linear, they row more evenly and keep the blade better in its path, without getting too low in the water.”
